Our Next Show – “Little Shop of Horrors”

Just in time for Halloween, Kokomo will see the return of one of the world’s most popular musicals, Little Shop of Horrors, which has not been seen on the KCT stage since 1988. A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 40 years. The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” – after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!
KCT’s production features Josiah Pyke as Seymour, Molly Lewis as Audrey, Chad Burchett as Mr. Mushnik, Tristen Durham as Orin, and J’Lan Stewart as the Voice of the Plant. The cast also includes Bekkah Dorton, Cristiana Tate and Toni Price as Crystal, Ronnette, and Chiffon, the 3 girl-group singers. Little Shop of Horrors is being directed by Steve Hughes (who also directed KCT’s 1988 production), and Cherresa Lawson is the music director.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, October 24 and 25, and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26 at Havens Auditorium, IU Kokomo.
Ticket prices are $23 for adults, $20 for senior citizens, $18 for students (through college), and $14 for children (age 12 and under). Tickets may be purchased online, by phone at 765-454-8800, or in person at the Havens box office one hour before each performance and 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, October 22 and 23.
