Covid-19 Response

Latest News, Policies

Kokomo Civic Theatre places the highest importance on the safety of our performers, audience and community.

As we return to regular performances for the 2021-22 season, Indiana University has required us to limit seating to 250 audience members in Havens Auditorium to avoid requiring everyone to wear a face mask. We are implementing socially distanced seating within Havens Auditorium.

Patrons:
Our patrons who are vaccinated do not need to wear face masks. We encourage unvaccinated patrons to wear face masks when you attend our performances. We will have hand sanitizer available at all of our events. Please do not attend our events if you feel sick, have a fever, or have had a positive Covid-19 test within the last 14 days.

KCT Staff:
All KCT staff are required* to be fully vaccinated; therefore they will not be required to wear masks or distance.

KCT Volunteers:
All KCT Volunteers (ushers, etc.) are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated. If a volunteer is fully vaccinated, masks and distancing are not required. Unvaccinated volunteers will be required to wear masks at all times.

KCT Performers:
Adults (18 and up) are required* to be fully vaccinated; therefore they will not be wearing masks or distancing while on stage.

Youth (12 to 17) are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated. If a youth performer is fully vaccinated, masks and distancing are not required. Unvaccinated youth performers will be required to wear masks at all times both on and off stage.

Children (11 and under) are currently not eligible for vaccination; therefore, they will be required to wear masks at all times both on and off stage.

* KCT’s Executive Director may make vaccination exceptions for extenuating circumstances, such as health concerns or religious reasons. Unvaccinated staff and performers will be required to wear masks at all times.
